International Women's Day feedback:

"When I enlisted in the Calgary Police “Force” (as it was called in the 1970s) I started out in a skirt, my snub nose revolver in my purse and a District Inspector who told me that he didn’t think women should be working in patrol cars and out in regular duties, but he was forced to take me on his roster.

What a long way forward has the Calgary Police Service journeyed, to having a day celebrating the presence of women in service. I was very proud of the achievements of the women of CPS that day (Int. Women’s Day event at Westwinds) and believe that the future is bright for women to move forward."
